We are loving Nightly News' Inspiring America series! This third-year medical student is making sure that kids' stay at Stony Brook Children's Hospital is magical. David Elkin, the founder of MagicAid, performs magic tricks for patients as a way to help relieve stress, and give them something to focus on other than the reason they’re in the hospital. To date, Elkin has performed for more than 900 kids and adults. But what’s even better, he’s now training other students to use magic as a way toheal their patients.
